2607 and 2609 Brook Road began as two nondescript lots for sale in the summer of 2015. 

There were countless reasons why traditional builders overlooked the purchase of the lots. However, with the close proximity to the city, mature trees, and location across from a nature preserve, Realtors Sean Stilwell and Darren Brown saw a unique opportunity. Because of their experience in renovating historic homes in the immediate area, they purchased both lots, jumping at this chance build their first new houses. 

Sean and Darren then challenged Todd Dykshorn, architect and owner of ADO, to design the project. Together, the three developed a plan, envisioning two modern houses tucked behind the existing tree cover. 

The group has been aware of the challenge of introducing modern homes to the neighborhood since the inception of their vision. You'll find that the new homes' brick facade draws influence from the surrounding houses.

The result has been the development of accessible modern spec houses within the city. Construction will be completed by the end of October 2016.
