We’re opening Modern Richmond Week 2022 with a keynote address by Roberto Ventura, Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Interior Design, VCU School of the Arts. Rob’s lecture on Modern Richmond Lost and Found will include stories of great modern design that has been rediscovered and given new purpose, and will remind us of iconic modern Richmond buildings that were unfortunately demolished.

The talk will be preceded by a tour of the Libbie Mill Library conducted by the building's design team from Quinn Evans: Shannon Wray, Chuck Wray, Andrea Quilici, and Erin Carver. The 60,000 square foot library was constructed by Gulf Seaboard General Contractors, Inc. and opened in November 2015. The building celebrates modern design and is set within the walkable community of Libbie Mill, developed by Gumenick Properties, who donated the 3-acre library site.
